Daft Punk have climbed their way to the top of the U.K. albums chart with the release of their new record Random Access Memories.

Rod Stewart's Time falls to second place, Trouble Will Find Me by The National premieres at three and The Conversation by Texas enters at four.

Rounding out the top five is Love Lust Faith + Dreams by 30 Seconds to Mars.

Daft Punk fall just short of also nabbing the top spot in the U.K. singles chart - their collaboration with Pharrell Williams, Get Lucky, drops to two as Naughty Boy by La La La and Sam Smith steals the first place position.

Let Her Go by Passenger is at three, Can't Hold Us by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis remains at four and holding onto number five is Rudimental's Waiting All Night, featuring Ella Eyre.
