Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg - the funny men behind Knocked Up, Superbad, Pineapple Express, Funny People, and This Is the End - are now taking on video games.
Booktrade reports the two will write and direct a film adaptation of the upcoming book "Console Wars: Sega, Nintendo, and the Battle that Defined a Generation" by Blake J, Harris. Rogen and Goldberg wrote the forward for the book.
The book (and presumably the film) follows Sega of America's CEO Tom Kalinske. Kalinske had no prior knowledge of the video game industry, but that didn't stop him from making Sega competitive with gaming juggernaut Nintendo and starting the first "console war."
We're excited to hear more about this project as it gets closer to filming - and any child of the 90s that made the hard decision between Sonic and Mario should be, too.
