E! Online was left red-faced when Ellen Page referred to one of their stories in her coming-out speech Friday.

E! Online ran a story in January bashing Page for dressing up like a “homeless, massive man” when she was spotted on her way to the gym. The article also referred to her wearing “street-sleeper” and “Salvation Army style” clothing.

Page said in her speech at the Human Rights Campaign Time to Thrive event on Friday, “… sometimes it’s the little insignificant stuff that can tear you down. Now I try not to read gossip as a rule, but the other day a website ran an article with a picture of me wearing sweatpants on the way to the gym. And the writer asked, ‘Why does this petite beauty insist upon dressing as a massive man?’”

Huffington Post editor Kia Makarechi realized the story was missing following the speech and took a screenshot of a cached version to share with his Twitter followers. He later pointed out the outlet left out that portion of her speech in their coverage.

As E! Online should know, nothing disappears from the Internet forever.
