Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar is starring in her first TV comedy opposite a legend.
According to Deadline, Gellar has signed on to star in the pilot for Crazy Ones on CBS. She will be playing Sydney, the daughter of Simon, played by Robin Williams. The two work together as creative directors at an ad agency.
The show is produced by David E. Kelley, the mind behind shows such as The Practice, Ally McBeal, and Boston Public.
In 2009 Gellar took a hiatus from acting to focus on her young family with husband Freddie Prinze Jr. She returned in 2011 with CW series Ringer, but the drama was cancelled after one season.
Robin Williams, on the other hand, hasn't played a recurring role on network television since his late 70s show Mork & Mindy.
