Matt Damon Goes On Strike For Water Day
Matt Damon is going on strike, but not from acting. He's going to stop doing what every person in America does every day.
In honor of Water Day, Matt Damon will stop going to the bathroom. "I'm going on strike. Not from acting, that would be too easy. A strike from going to go the bathroom," Damon said to a stunned audience during a faux press conference in a viral ad for his charity water.org.
The Strike With Me campaign seeks to educate people on the difficulties for developing countries to secure sources of clean, usable water for hygiene - in contrast to the casual waste of water in countries such as America.
Damon says in the viral ad he will not use the toilet and its water flow until March 22. He also says that it would cost and American $25 to provide clean water to a person in a developing country for his or her lifetime.
