Jessica Simpson has revealed the gender of her surprise second child.

The singer is expecting a boy, according to RadarOnline. That'd give the star a balanced family of a boy and a girl. "It’s Jessica’s dream come true, she prayed she was having a boy," a source told the website.

"She was so happy that Maxwell is getting a little brother because that’s something she always wanted when she was growing up."

She hasn't settled on a name for the child, although the source says her and Eric Johnson's favorite boy name is taken - by their daughter!

Simpson is set to have a busy 2013, which will have her taking care of new kids and starring in a sitcom based on her life.
