Miley Cryus is getting plenty of criticism for her recent changes in style and music, but she's taking any comparisons to Britney Spears as compliments.

Allegedly, Katy Perry said "She's definitely headed the Britney route. It's worse. Look at those outfits. It's bad," backstage at the MuchMusic Awards. Katy Perry had also made a similar transition, a Christian singer in her younger years.

Still, Miley Cyrus took those comments as compliments. She told Hollywood Life, "'I try to look at everything in my life as positive. So I can either look at it and say it's negative, and look at the things she's done wrong, and say, 'How can someone compare me to her?'"

"I could be the positive person and look at all the amazing history that she's made, and the things that she’s accomplished."

"I choose to take it as a compliment," she added.
