Hugh Jackman Makes Teenager's Wish Come True
Hugh Jackman granted the wish of a teenage girl by taking her to a Broadway debut of The Addams Family. Jackman accompanied 17-year-old Australian Charisse Mitchell, who made the wish through the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
Charisse said on the red carpet, "It is unbelievable. I never thought it would come true but it finally happened."
Hugh responded, "(It is) my wish too, let me be honest. I heard from Charisse and she wanted to come and meet me. I said, 'how about a date and going to a Broadway opening?'"
The Addams Family stars two-time Tony Award winners Nathan Lane as Gomez Addams and Bebe Neuwirth as his wife Morticia Addams. The all-new story follows daughter Wednesday, who matures into a young woman and falls in love with a young man from a respectable family.
