After being hounded by the press since starring with Jennifer Aniston in The Bounty Hunter, Gerard Butler has silenced questions of a romance with his co-star after going out on a date with a French reporter.

The 300 star was spotted taking local TV reporter Laurie Cholewa to dinner as well as a few hot spots in France. Cholewa hosts a Friday night show, the latest featuring an interview with - you guessed it - Gerard.

Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler have been coy answered romance rumors, but now it appears that was just to drum up buzz for their movie. Gerard is probably hoping his latest movie, How to Train Your Dragon, has a few more press stops back in France!
