Mika has revealed that he had only three days to write his song Kick Ass (We Are Young) for the film Kick-Ass. However, the star feels the effort is worth it after seeing the buzz building around the movie.

Mika was shown the movie in a private screening, then offered the title track - if he could write a song in three days. He says producers usually choose from his existing music for their soundtracks, but Mika says after watching the flick he had to take on the challenge.

The music video for Kick Ass (We Are Young) features Mika getting mugged and left in an alley between shots from the film. Kick-Ass is due in theaters April 16.
