Callan McAuliffe Wins GQ's 'Breakthrough of the Year' Award
Actor Callan McAuliffe became the youngest person ever to earn one of GQ's 'Men of the Year' awards when he claimed the 'Breakthrough of the Year' trophy at the mag's 'Men of the Year' Awards Australia last week.
The 17-year-old played Sam in the sci-fi flick I Am Number Four and snagged the role of the young Jay Gatsby in Baz Luhrmann's highly anticipated remake of The Great Gatsby alongside the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, and fellow Australian Jason Clarke. Gatsby arrives in theaters on May 10, 2013.
With the win came a spot in GQ Australia's annual 'Men of the Year' issue, which features interviews and photo shoots with all the award winners. The collectible edition is on newsstands now. You can get a look inside by visiting the GQ Australia website (gq.com.au)
