Adam Levine Signs His 'The Voice' Finalist Tony Lucca to 222 Records
Call it full-service coaching: Adam Levine has signed Tony Lucca, the Team Adam finalist from Season 2 of The Voice, to his 222 Records label. The news was announced today via press release, after Adam mentioned it during the third-season premiere of The Voice on September 10.
"It's cool to see how a gut instinct can manifest itself in such unimaginable ways," Tony said in the press release. "Working with Adam on The Voice truly was an opportunity of a lifetime. Now we'll get a chance to take that opportunity to the next level. Thinking back to the blind auditions, Adam said he thought I was going to have an amazing career and that he wanted to be a part of it. It's so cool to see him stay true to his word in such a meaningful way."
Lucca has remained busy since Levine took him to the finals of Season 2: he is currently on his "Chapter Two" concert tour, backed by several Voice alums on different tour dates, including Justin Hopkins, Chris Cauley and Jordis Unga. He spoke with me about his current and future plans in this recent interview.
222 Records is also home to Glee star Matthew Morrison, Diego Boneta, and Rozzi Crane, who sung on Maroon 5's contribution to The Hunger Games soundtrack earlier this year.
The Voice continues its third season tonight at 8 PM ET/PT.
