'The Diary Of Justin Bieber' Shows Justin Living High School Life On The Road
Justin Bieber is not your average sixteen year old. Instead of playing video games and hanging out at the local mall, Bieber spends his days and nights being swamped by millions of screaming fans and performing around the world at sold-out venues. It’s hard to find a teen girl that doesn’t have Bieber plastered across their school binder or hanging on every inch of their bedroom wall these days. An overnight sensation, Bieber was discovered through YouTube as he covered songs performed by his mentor Usher, Ne-Yo, and other heavy hitters of the pop and R&B scene. After gaining more than ten millions hits on his YouTube page, it was only a matter of time until he reached mainstream success.
Each generation of pop music fans have their favorites, ranging from The Beatles to The Backstreet Boys, and it is pretty clear that the current crop of pop lovers are holding Justin Bieber close to their hearts. Along with his extremely impressive music abilities, Bieber appears to be a strong role model for young teens, with a grounded head on his shoulders. MTV’s "Diary of Justin Bieber" aired on Sunday night, shedding light onto his personal life as he traveled through Paris promoting his album My World 2.0. This half hour look into Bieber’s world cleared up any questions some might have about how hot his celebrity status is right now. Bieber is a legitimate 16 year old superstar, as teens across the world wait in lines for hours just to get a glimpse of the up-and-coming sensation. As girls cry when they meet him and sing every word of his hit songs, Bieber still seems confused and humbled by his celebrity status as he states, “I didn’t know that a piece of paper with my name on it would mean so much to these kids.”
Bieber’s Diary showed that no matter how many fans he has, he still has to take algebra and biology just as any teen in the nation would. Every morning he’s greeted by his tutor, who keeps Bieber on the right track when it comes to his courses. If his tutor wasn’t enough, Bieber’s mother Pattie travels with him everywhere he goes to keep an eye on the young pop star, which he seems to truly appreciate. As he tries to remain close with his hometown friends from Canada, Bieber says that he flies in his close friend Ryan once in a while to catch-up and take part in some normal teen activities.
This MTV special was a short look into the daily happenings of a young teen icon, and it is encouraging to see that he finds the time in his busy day to take a break, shoot some hoops with his friends, and return to normalcy if only for a few hours. With major hits such as One Time, Baby, and Eenie Meenie featuring Sean Kingston under his belt already, fans can expect to see a lot more from this multi-dimensional superstar in the near future an for a long time to come.
