Emmy-winning actor Michael Chiklis has announced the digital release of his band’s second song, “Make Me High.”

Chiklis penned the song with bandmate Bob Pascarella for the Sundance film HIGH School at the request of the film’s producers, who were looking for a backdrop to the film’s coming-of-age storyline. Inspired by rock greats Aerosmith, Boston and ZZ Top, Chiklis and Pascarella created the romping rock tune in Chiklis’ home studio.

Vocalist/percussionist Michael Chiklis, guitarist/keyboardist Bob Pascarella, bassist Danny Rowe, and pianist/backing vocalist Amanda Carr performed “Make Me High” live at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival to celebrate the premiere of HIGH School.  

“Make Me High” will be available on iTunes and all digital providers.

Over the course of his remarkable career, Michael Chiklis has gained high recognition for his roles in top television series. A natural performer, Chiklis was born on August 30, 1963 in Lowell Massachusetts and began entertaining his family with celebrity imitations when he was just five years old. As a child, Chiklis appeared in regional theater productions and earned his Equity card at age 13. He later attended Boston University School of Performing Arts where he received his B.F.A.

The Michael Chiklis Band is currently planning a full-length release.
