Whether or not you’re an Avengers fan, it’s hard not to be excited for one of the most anticipated pilots of the fall season – Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., coming to ABC Sept. 24. At Comic Con this summer, we sat down with Chloe Bennet and Brett Dalton as they discussed their characters and how they feel about their “induction” into the Marvel universe.

“Every character has a history. That’s what Marvel is so great at, having a back story for their heroes, but they have just as much of a back story for these humans”, says Bennet, who plays Skye, newcomer computer hacker (or, in Bennet’s words, “hacktivist.”). As for Dalton’s seasoned agent Grant Ward, the actor notes that “he’s the guy you call when you need something done. He’s like a swiss army knife – he’s got something for every occasion but he’s a bit of a lone wolf as well. He doesn’t know what it’s like to be a part of the team.”

Might we see a possible relationship develop between the two? Check out the full video interview below, and stay tuned for all your S.H.I.E.L.D. scoop!

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premieres Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 8pm.
