Swissvoice ePure Bluetooth Station

Don’t you miss cordless telephones?

Since I haven’t had a phone line in my apartment since 2004—and even that was just because I had yet to buy a TiVo with an Ethernet or WiFi connection—I haven’t used one. (Office phones in the professional environment are still corded.)

So the Swissvoice ePure Bluetooth station caught my eye last week. It consists of a wireless handset and docking station for your smartphone, tablet or PC (via Bluetooth 2.0). You can make and receive mobile calls with the handset, whether it’s an actual phone call or something like Skype.

You can charge an iPhone or iPod in the BH01i device, or via USB for all other smartphones/tablets with the BH01u model. If you’re using the BH01i and your iPhone is docked, you could even use FaceTime with the handset. (Of course, if you walk away, you won’t see your friend’s face anymore…)

The  BH01i device retails for $149.99 and theBH01u device retails for $139.99 and can be purchased from Amazon.com.
