Harman Announces JBL Cinema Soundbar SB 400 for Bluetooth Streaming
Last week, audio giant Harman announced a number of new products from JBL and Harman Kardon, but the one that caught the eye was the JBL Cinema Soundbar SB 400.
A soundbar/subwoofer combos designed for HDTVs, you can either use the JBL Cinema Soundbar SB 400 as a standalone audio system for your TV, or you can also use it to stream content from your iPad/iPhone or Android device over Bluetooth.

While the price of the unit can be expensive, having the two functions (dedicated soundbar and streaming Bluetooth speaker) isn’t something seen in a lot of similar devices.
The recommended TVs for the JBL Cinema Soundbar SB 400 are at least 46 inches in size.
The 2.1-channel system incorporates “two woofers, two tweeters and an amplifier in an ultrathin enclosure” and simulates a surround-sound environment even though there’s only 2 speakers.
It also doesn’t matter whether the soundbar is wall mounted or placed on your TV stand—an equalization speaker will optimize the audio performance accordingly. And the wireless subwoofer can be placed anywhere in the room.
The JBL Cinema SB 400 is compatible with a number of JBL apps included AmpUp and MusicFlow and will retail for $549.99. No word on availability, but you can visit www.JBL.com for more.
