'Proof': A New Syfy Project From Shyamalan & Noxon

Syfy announced last week a deal that will bring filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan and TV executive producer/showrunner Marti Noxon together on a project to create a new show called "Proof." Noxon and Shyamalan will co-write and executive produce, in addition to Shyamalan directing the pilot.
Shyamalan is best known for films such as The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable, while Noxon is best known for her work on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Mad Men. Proof is Shyamalan’s first foray into television.
The pilot is about the son of a billionaire tech genius who offers a large reward for anyone who can find proof of life after death after the tragic and sudden death of his parents.
Shyamalan recently wrapped a film called After Earth starring Will and Jaden Smith for Sony Pictures, while Noxon is currently working on writing the film adaptation of The Glass Castle for producer Gil Netter and Lionsgate.
No word on when casting will begin or when the pilot will air, but this continue SyFy’s quest to bring bigger and bigger stars to its network as it continues to develop not just sci-fi related fair, but quasi and pseudo sci-fi slash science shows.
