'Fringe' Teases Fans Pre Comic-Con With 'They Are Coming' Poster
To tease and excite fans for the Fringe panel at Comic-Con next week on Sunday, July 15, Fox released a new teaser poster to EW.com that proclaims loudly what the fifth and final season of the sci-fi show will be all about.
(Spoilers ahoy for those that haven’t seen up through the most recent season finale.)
We caught a glimpse of it last season in the episode called “Letters of Transit”—a world where The Observers, the bald time-traveling scientists from the future, take over our world. And now, according to the teaser poster, they are indeed coming to conquer our world.
The season premiere, according to EW.com, is titled “Transilience Thought Unifier Model-11.” Since speculation is that the majority of season 5 will take place in that future timeline, you’d have to think the title refers to some sort of science that will help our heroes get to that future.
Unfortunately, the creators and producers continue to be tight-lipped. According to executive producer J.H. Wyman, who will be show-running the 13-episode final season, “If I give you any spoilers, it will just force me to go back in time and prevent myself from answering this question. So if you wouldn’t mind, I should probably save us all the trouble and the potential paradoxes.”
