Teenage star Jaden Smith freaked out during a junket interview for his new film After Earth at the weekend (17May13) when a giant bug rested on the arm of his chair.
The actor was promoting the film under a tent in the New Mexico desert with his dad and co-star Will Smith when he suddenly leaped up with a start and yelled, "Dad!".
A cool, calm and collected Will swatted the bug away and then repeated, "Jaden, it's not a stinger," to assure his concerned son, who couldn't run far because his microphone was attached.

Revered U.S. broadcaster Barbara Walters' daughter was arrested over the weekend (18-19May13) for driving under the influence.
Jacqueline Danforth was taken into custody and booked in Florida on Sunday (19May13) after traffic cops pulled her over near Naples.
She has been released on a $1,000 (£625) bond.
Danforth, 44, is The View host's adopted daughter with her second husband, theatre producer Lee Guber.
Her arrest comes just days after Walters announced her retirement from broadcasting. She will step down as the host of U.S. magazine show The View next year (14).
