Producer Rodney Jerkins has teased Britney Spears fans by suggesting new music by the pop star will be released within a matter of weeks.
Representatives for the "Toxic" hitmaker's record label, Jive, confirmed in March the singer had begun work on her seventh studio album, although a release date had yet to be announced.
Hitmakers including Danja and Predator Dub Assassins have all revealed they've been in the studio with Spears and now superproducer Jerkins has hinted an announcement regarding the new material is imminent, reports AceShowbiz.com.
During an interview on UStream over the weekend, Jerkins said, "Britney fans are gonna be so happy in a few weeks."
However, he refused to provide more details about the project.
Spears' upcoming album will be her first in two years - her last disc, Circus, was released in 2008.
