Rumor has it that 90s boy band 'N Sync will reunite during Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards.

Numerous sources have reported that Justin Timberlake is set to take the stage with former bandmates Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone for a performance at this year's VMAs.

Timberlake is set to receive the annual Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award for his contributions to the "pioneering and innovative impact" of music videos, according to MTV; and word is the rest of the band will be in the house at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York to join him on stage, according to reports from Us Weekly and the New York Post.

Timberlake's former bandmates were all spotted over the weekend at his Miami concert, according to the Post, leading many to believe the group has been hanging out together lately, most likely for rehearsals.

Us Weekly says a source at MTV confirmed that they're "trying to make it happen" -- but when New York's Newday reached out for a comment, a spokesman for the network told the paper, "We have no comment. Not sure where Us Weekly is getting its 'source.'"

'N Sync last performed together at the 2003 Grammy Awards for a tribute to The Bee Gees, followed by a performance of the National Anthem prior to a charity basketball game.
