V. Majestic V. Majestic Release Date: 1998 10 01 Label: Edgy OK, this is one of those weird ones: kind of psychedelic avant-garde soundtrack music with French horn. Yes, French horn. Mostly instrumental, when vocals do enter the picture, they're usually treated and/or strange. Despite that description, this is oddly accessible. There are some wonderfully melodic passages, like the horn-led "That's Entropy." There are also some great guitar breaks, as on "I Was Kicked in the Horse by a Head When I Was Three." Then there's some crazy production and a big freak-out or two. All of it adds up to a strange, fun listen that's difficult to categorize. Recommended to the adventurous listener.
