Woolridge Brothers Uncovering the Sun Release Date: 1998 10 06 Label: Don't Records The third album from brothers Scott Wooldridge and Brian Wooldridge exemplifies the qualities that have earned them comparisons with artists like the BoDeans, Crowded House, R.E.M., and others -- rootsy pop songs with strong hooks and excellent vocal harmonies. Standout tracks include "Last Man Standing" and "Unbelievable Truth," while songs like the title track, "Disappointing You," and "My New World" are also very affecting. The album is a pleasant and satisfying experience. While nothing on the record seems like something one would classify as timeless or indispensable, it is clear that these brothers from Wisconsin have done themselves proud. They are deserving of some heavy airplay on mainstream rock radio.
