Steve Austin
Stone Cold Country
Release Date: 1999 09 28
Label: Mars

Steve Austin's Stone Cold Country is a pretty entertaining sampler of the wrestling superstar's favorite country tunes (or at least the ones the compilers could get the rights to). Naturally, these are all male acts, whether they're solo singers or groups; naturally, most of the songs project a convincingly tough, rugged attitude. There are classic tunes like Willie Nelson's "Whiskey River," Merle Haggard's "I Take a Lot of Pride in What I Am," and Waylon Jennings' "I've Always Been Crazy," and many more contemporary sides, including tracks by Alan Jackson, Diamond Rio, Tracy Byrd, Sammy Kershaw, Sawyer Brown, John Anderson, and more.
