Biography:
New Jersey-born singer and songwriter Sheryl Skye started her early musical training with the study of classical guitar when she was nine years old. She soon discovered a strong love for music that would last her a lifetime. In high school and college she performed small gigs at local parties and receptions, polishing her natural skills and gaining the experience and confidence she needed to later move into a real musical career.

In 1993, Skye felt prepared enough to branch her performances out to other areas. She took on new gigs, appearing at clubs and colleges. She kept the bills paid by working day jobs that ranged from stone mason to graphic designer. In 1994, Skye finished recording her enjoyable debut album, Wading the Waters. A marvelous sophomore offering, The Sheryl Skye Band, didn't show up for two years. In 1998, she released a self-titled EP. It was followed a year later by Ripple and then in 2001 she went to work on her fifth recording, One Little Life.

Each album has received positive reviews from the critics. Tracks like &"This Afternoon," &"Dance Your Dance," &"Because I Never Told," &"Love Me or Leave Me," &"Lonely Sometimes," and &"Still" are some of the adult contemporary numbers fans can sample on these recordings. Most of the tunes are flavored skillfully with folk-rock emotions. Charlotte Dillon, All Music Guide
