| When I listen to richie havens I am overcome with a sense of awe! His voice carries with it such color and deeep rich warmth that it just blends into the atmosphere around you. Maybe that is a little wacky sounding from today's point of veiw, but he is truly a gift to the music world. He made me feel things for the art of song writing that I hadn't previously entertained within my mind. So to me Richie Havens is poet and a healer for his voice and his peaceful demeanor that is present to us on stage and in person shows me that he lives what he sings. He is no doubt my favorite artist. | ||
