With each album in the 1990s, Natas moved their music forward both as MCs and in terms of production, evolving from a juvenile exploitation group into an earnest group serious about changing the rap game with their increasingly realized rap style, a potent merger of Funkadelic guitar funk and Def Jam-era Rick Rubin-influenced beats. The less exploitative subject matter stands as the most noteworthy aspect of the group's growth with Multikillionaire: The Devil's Contract; the group doesn't rely so much on perverse sex, morbid obsessions, or heretical talk but rather attitude here to make their music interesting.
