Tiring of commercial work, in the mid-'70s he went to Europe where he explored his roots in blues, jazz, and rock & roll. This intriguing CD finds Baker (who is joined on some numbers by acoustic guitarist Stefan Grossman, bassist Alex Sanders, and drummer Martin Drew) in London, playing mostly blues with a few nods towards his other musical interests. The mostly instrumental music holds one's interest and shows that Baker was a diverse and talented guitarist who had something of his own to offer the music world. Recommended.
