Biography:
Singer/songwriter Lisa Briggs could have been heard in a number of musical outlets through her native of Minneapolis, MN, in the early '90s. From appearing in several college musicals, radio programs, and even singing in a number of locally produced commercials, her brand of acoustic folk and soprano vocals would be eventually packaged in her 1996 self-released full-length Coffee and Gifts. Following in her musical influences of Joni Mitchell and Shawn Colvin, her debut would be accompanied by a backing of a string ensemble, pianos, and percussion. Not too long after the release of Coffee and Gifts, Briggs relocated to Nashville, TN. Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
