Biography:
Born Paul Kevin Jonas II, guitarist and vocalist Kevin Jonas is the oldest member of Jonas Brothers. Originally conceived as a solo project for Nicholas Jonas, Jonas Brothers formed after Kevin, Nicholas, and Joseph Jonas began writing and performing songs together. Kevin, a self-taught guitarist who first picked up the instrument at age 12, took a role as the group's lead guitarist and backup vocalist; his work appeared on both It's About Time, the group's debut album, and Jonas Brothers, the self-titled follow-up that he helped produce. Despite an extensive touring schedule in 2007 (Jonas Brothers toured with Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana as well as headlining their own concert series), the band found time to record the tracks for its third album, which was scheduled for release in the summer of 2008. Along with Nicholas and Joseph, Kevin appeared on the television series J.O.N.A.S.! and in the made-for-TV movie Camp Rock. Katherine Fulton, All Music Guide
