In 1952 during his "off period," Miles Davis sat in with tenor-saxophonist Jimmy Forrest's quintet at a club in his hometown of St. Louis. Because the recording quality is not the best and Davis recorded many more significant sessions through the years, this CD only gets an "OK" rating, but collectors may want to acquire it anyway. Included are performances of bop standards including Dizzy Gillespie's "A Night in Tunisia." Scott Yanow, All Music Guide Tracks:
