Jason & the Scorchers
Blazing Grace
Release Date: 1995 02 07
Label: Mammoth

Jason & the Scorchers came "blazing" back with this rockin' barrelhouse of a release. Containing sure-fire rockers in "Where Bridges Never Burn" and "Cry by Night Operator," the Scorchers never sounded better. But also check out their hard-drivin' covers of both John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads" and George Jones' "Why Baby Why." They're great! Coming back with just the original four members, Jason & the Scorchers prove that there is life after punk, or were they roots-rock, or maybe cowpunk, or.... Ah, you get the picture. A Blazing Grace is superb! James Chrispell, All Music Guide
