Girlschool Take a Bite Release Date: 1988 Label: Enigma With a great polished metal groove, this disc shows that women can rock. The CD seems to combine elements of such perennial female lead favorites as the Runaways and Warlock, but even wanders into territory as diverse as the more hard melodic side of WASP. The group covers Sweet's "Fox on the Run," giving it a strong showing and presenting it in a very entertaining and fun fashion. This disc would be a great introduction to the group for the uninitiated and a welcome addition to any collection. The title track has a slightly silly, but infectious chorus of "Take a bite, I'm a Sucker for You."
