The set features Cole, trumpeter Wayman Reed and a fine four-piece rhythm section but the emphasis is naturally on the singer. Jefferson performs such classics as "I Got the Blues" and "Ornithology," teams up with vocalist Betsy Fersmire on "Keep Walkin'" and "Pinetop's Boogie," and even tackles Herbie Hancock's "Chameleon."
