Denny Zeitlin/David Friesen In Concert [ITM] Release Date: 1995 08 01 Running Time: 0:00 Label: Sunnyside Denny Zeitlin and David Friesen make up one of the most enjoyable piano/bass duos of the 1990s; this CD includes some of their best performances from several live dates on the West Coast. Their dramatic take on "Airegin" is matched by a very lyrical (and very refreshing) interpretation of "My Funny Valentine." Their original works are just as rewarding, especially Zeitlin's coy "Moving Parts" and Friesen's bittersweet ballad "Returning." Highly recommended.
