Crucial Conflict Final Tic Release Date: 1996 07 02 Running Time: 54:21 Label: Pallas Records Crucial Conflict are a hip-hop collective featuring Coldhard, Wildstyle, Kilo, and Never. On their debut album, The Final Tic, they have created a distinctive musical style that they refer to as "Rodeo," as well as "Snappin," a term they use to describe their own brand of rhyme. Of course, Crucial Conflict aren't quite the trailblazers they would like to be -- this is still funky, hardcore rap at its most basic. However, it sounds damn good, particularly when they work a deep groove and catchy hook like they do on the hit single "Hay." The rest of The Final Tic isn't quite up to that standard, but it provides enough thrills to satisfy most fans of their sound.
