Coleman Hawkins High Standards Release Date: 1958 08 07 Label: Jass This impressive lineup (tenor-saxophonist Coleman Hawkins, trumpeter Red Allen and altoist Earl Warren, who for some reasons sticks here to clarinet) should have guaranteed a highly recommended LP but the very brief playing time (around 27 minutes) and the predictable music makes this set a bit of a disappointment.
