A double CD of 28 rock-steady tracks produced by Dodd during the late '60s. Most of these were very obscure; the only well-known names are organist Jackie Mittoo and a young Niney The Observer, recording as Winston Holness. A few of the cuts are little more than basic instrumental grooves, but mostly this is top-notch, and fairly diverse, rock-steady. The best attributes of the style are captured in the easy, shuffling grooves, ethereal organs, and dreamy horn lines that anchor nearly all of the songs.
