You'll have more fun digging dirt out of your belly button. "Pelham 1 2 3," is two pieces of bread with no meat in the middle. My in-depth plot points will be absent from this review because this movie sucked. "Pelham" has one redeeming quality: John Travolta (Ryder), and his usage of strong, lewd, pervasive language. John Travolta and John Turturro (Camonetti), upstage Denzel, but their performances are not good enough to overcome the arrogance of Tony Scott. I like Tony Scott's dizzying camera work, but his preposterous, laughable, ridiculous race against the clock action seqence plays the role of a wet blanket on this movie. The climax is absurd and boring. Simply put, "Pelham 1 2 3" offers no chills, frills, or thrills. This remake of the 1974 classic needs a thorough flushing. James Gandolfini (The Mayor), and Luis Guzman (Phil Ramos), are bright spots in brief roles. [Report]
