The Jill & Tony Curtis Story Summary:
After learning of the 100,000-plus horses slaughtered annually, lifelong equestrian enthusiast Jill Curtis would go on to create Shiloh, a rescue for these otherwise condemned animals. This documentary follows Jill and her husband Tony Curtis on a journey that is both joyous and tragic; as they celebrate the rescue of their 400th horse, rare footage of a slaughter auction provides a somber reminder of the many horses who have met a grimmer fate. Along with fellow activist Bo Derek, Jill and Tony travel to Washington D.C. in hopes of encouraging legislation to ban the slaughter of horses in the United States. Tracie Cooper, All Movie Guide
