[Report] madmick 4 Wed May 20 2009 19:31:45 I was disappointed with the movie. I grew up with Kirk, Spock and co and was seriously looking forward to this but it was pretty poor effort. The faction segments were brilliant but the plotlines leading up to Kirk assuming command of enterprise were disjointed and might have been cobbled together by a primary school student.. "Star Trek" is a ballsy, gritty, intense, tireless, addictive film that doesn't let up until the very end. Spock (Zachary Quinto), James T. Kirk (Chris Pine), "Bones" (Karl Urban), and Scotty (Simon Pegg), shine brightly in this highly-anticipated movie. Their performances are top-notch. "Star Trek" is one of those rare movies that mixes heart-stopping action and humor very well. J.J. Abrams made a film that both hardcore fans and newbies will enjoy immensely.
