Motley Crue To Retire After One Last Tour - See Photos From Their Press Conference
Motley Crue is going on one last tour before calling it quits. On Tuesday, the band, which has been together for 33 years, held a press conference titled: "RIP: All Bad Things Must Come To An End."
Alice Cooper will join the group to open all shows on its final 72-date tour.
Singer Vince Neil, bassist Nikki Sixx, drummer Tommy Lee and guitarist Mick Mars signed legal papers at the conference to put an official end to the group.
The "Cessation of Touring" document prevents them from using the Mötley Crüe name after their tour ends.
Neil said at the conference: "We don't want to be one of those bands that maybe have one guy left in it, or somebody's brother. We want to go out with the four founding members of Mötley Crüe, and go out on top."
