Michael Strahan Reportedly Heading To 'Good Morning America'
Michael Strahan is reportedly heading to ABC's "Good Morning America."
Sources at ABC confirmed the story with news outlet CNN and website The Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday, revealing that an official announcement is expected in the coming days.
Strahan currently co-hosts "Live! with Kelly and Michael" alongside Kelly Ripa, but joining the GMA team won't affect his main job.
Strahan will make appearances on the show during its 7 a.m. hour before going to film "Live!"
Strahan will in part replace meteorologist Sam Champion, who left the show back in December, and anchor Josh Elliott, who departed this week.
Amy Robach took Elliott's place on Monday, while Robin Roberts, Ginger Zee, George Stephanopoulos and Lara Spencer remain as the show's main correspondents.
Strahan, who won two Super Bowls with the New York Giants and will be inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame, will also remain an analyst for Fox NFL Sunday during football season.
