Michael Jackson Jury Views Autopsy Photo
On Monday, Jurors in the Michael Jackson wrongful death trial were shown a ghastly autopsy photograph of the music legend's corpse.
The late musician's mother Katherine is suing concert bosses at AEG Live, the promoters behind his doomed This Is It comeback concerts, alleging they were negligent in ignoring her son's life-threatening health issues.
She also blames them for hiring Dr. Conrad Murray, who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter for administering the dose of anesthetic Propofol which killed the Thriller star in June, 2009.
Katherine and other family members have been attending the court case in Los Angeles but they were warned by lawyers to keep away on Monday as a heartbreaking image of Jackson's body was shown to the jury.
According to the New York Post, The photo revealed Jackson had his scalp tattooed black and his lips inked pink, and there were scars behind his ears suggesting he had undergone a facelift.
The autopsy also confirmed why his skin tone became lighter in the 1980s. Apparently Jackson had "vitiligo, a skin pigmentation disease," and "some areas of the skin appear light and others appear dark."
