Michael Douglas' Son Moved To Minimum Security
Michael Douglas' incarcerated son Cameron has been moved to a minimum security prison a month after he was sentenced to five years behind bars on drug charges.
The 31 year old pleaded guilty to one count of methamphetamine possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and one count of possession of cocaine in January following a police raid on his New York City hotel room last year.
Cameron has been housed at the tough Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan since August when he violated the terms of his home detention after his arrest by asking his girlfriend to smuggle heroin to him in a toothbrush.
His legal team filed a request to have Cameron transferred to a minimum security prison in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, after his sentencing, but there were fears he would not qualify for the move.
But officials have now approved the request and moved Cameron to his first-choice jail where he will serve out the rest of his sentence, according to People.com.
