Gary Sinise is a rare combination of talent, looks, and brains. It's not a wonder the movie Forrest Gump did so well...with TWO men on the screen posession those gifts, how could it not? Of the 3 CSIs, NY is the only one I watch because it's the one where the characters are most real, including the role of the leader. Between Sinise, Petersen, and Caruso, Gary's role is the only one that doesn't need intense therapy. Aside from the roles he plays and the gifts he's been blessed with, he just seems like a genuinely nice man.
