I Totally respect Ringo Starr, As a Drummer and as a person. He is the reason I started playing the drums.When I was a young boy my mother would play The Beatles music for me. The song Rain is what did it for me. His drumming style is so unique and different from other drummers and he is really doesn't get the credit he deserves as a drummer ,which I find sad and disrespectful. When he joined the Beatles they changed musically and I don't think they would have been the band they were with him if they still had Best as a drummer. If you Don't think Ringo is talented Listen to Rain or The End or even his drumming On Helter Skelter.
I know there are other talented drummers out there like John Bonham , Keith Moon ,Neil Peart, Ginger Baker, Tre Cool, Eric Carr etc. but, most drummers quote Ringo as an influence including me!
