What do you think of Leonardo DiCaprio?

Prior to Leo's success in TITANIC, I wanted him to portray singer, JOHNNIE RAY in a film. Johnnie was the biggest superstar singer in the early fifties. I contacted his stepmother, Peggy, who is married to John, Leo's dad. She said "we don't want Leo to do anymore screen bios." BASKETBALL DIARIES and another film about the young poet, died at the box-office. But, at that time, Leo was the sole Hollywood actor who could have pulled off the JR film. And then later he won the Golden Globe for portraying Howard Hughes? Seems he let his family make decisions on what films he should be in?

Then there was the rumor that he and Toby McGuire were lovers. They, allegedly, were caught kissing on the elevator at the Mondrian Hotel on Sunset, by a foreign reporter who was also staying there too.

Whether or not he is "BI" doesn't really matter. That goes for Toby too. Both are multimillionaires and it doesn't matter if they ever star in another film.

What do you think of Brad Renfro?

Broke my heart when he died so young. Broke my heart that he was overlooked at the Oscar's memorials. They could have just used a still photo and I would have been happy. I bought THE CLIENT, just to see his acting as a youngman. I liked APT PUPIL too. And tonight he was in DEUCES WILD. It was in HD on Mark Cuban's HD NETWORK. Was like watching it "new." Sure miss the young guy. Like River Phenix and Heath, those drugs kill. How many more stars will die before others learn their lesson? They go into rehab for a few days, when they should go to jail, like you know who. He is now making a big comeback.

The Academy over-looked GUY MADISON when he died too. Same excuse. No room. Just a photo could have been used.

What do you think of The Greatest Show on Earth?

This was Charlton Heston's first movie after a small film PEER GYNT. I traveled with a circus when I was a teenager. And this film is the BEST circus film ever made. It was what circuses used to look like and Barnum and Bailey carry on this tradition today. All young and old should see this film. Betty Hutton learned to work the trapeze before she auditioned for DeMille. He hired her on the spot. She was a wonderful actress. She died last year or the year before.

My favorite clown, Lou Jacobs, is also in the film. I think Emmett Kelley was too.

What do you think of Norman Reedus?

I just watched "DEUCES WILD" with a lot of young stars. He looked familiar but I didn't know his name? Then I just watched "BLADE II" and he was also in that. A very good actor. Wish I had met him when I lived in Hollywood. I saw Deuces Wild in Hollywood and wasn't that impressed. Now that Brad Renfro was in it, I decided to look again. A very large cast of young actors. Now to buy the DVD-smile!
