She's a hard target for photography! I took several pictures of her on the set of Hachiko, A Dog's Story, and I found it very difficult to catch her eyes. Perhaps she wasn't up for photo ops that day. But otherwise, a very nice lady, and a great actress!

To those who target celebrities, in this case Richard Gere, with rumors and insults: Get a life! Anything that is true we all hear about in the news! We never learn of true events via word of mouth. As for the whole gerbil thing, the entire world would have known about it as soon as it happened. It would have been on the news, on Entertainment Tonight, TMZ, and so on. Why read the National Enquirer if not solely for entertainment? It consists entirely of falsifications... mere propaganda.

Indeed, a truly great guy... on the set of Hachiko, A Dog's Story, he was open for fan photography and made eye contact with my camera on several occasions, and waved to the crowd of onlookers, as well as shaking the hands of several. Richard is a personable man, but moreso a professional.
